you're planning a trip to this Himalayan nation, obtaining a tourist
visa is one of the first steps.
There are three ways to acquire a visa for Nepal:
On-arrival Visa
- Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu

Gaddachowki (Nepal-India border), Kodari (Nepal-China border)
Requirements:
- Valid passport
- One passport-sized photo (light background)

Australian Dollar, Canadian Dollar, Hong Kong Dollar, Singapore
Dollar, Japanese Yen).

Pre-Arrival Visa from Nepalese Embassy/Mission
Apply if you prefer to avoid queues up On-arrival in Nepal.
Online Visa Application (up to 15 days before arrival)

Visit the Department of Immigration website: https://nepaliport.immigration.gov.np/

Fill out the application form and upload required documents (including
passport-sized photo).

Print the application receipt for verification by immigration
authorities.
Note: While online application is available, visa On-arrival is the only
entry visa for Nepal. Even for purposes beyond tourism, a tourist visa is
required for initial entry, with the option to convert it to the
appropriate visa type later at the Department of Immigration.
Visa Fees (USD):
- 15 Days - 30
- 30 Days - 50
- 90 Days - 125
**Payment:** While some payment options might be available, carrying cash
is advisable for visa fees.
Free On-arrival Visa
Citizens from South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC)
countries can obtain a free on-arrival visa for a single entry per year.
Important Note
Citizens from specific countries require a pre-arrival visa from Nepalese
diplomatic missions in their home country.These countries include:
